You must have a current, valid U.S. or State, or international driver’s license. All renters and additional drivers must be 23 years or older. No one that is not registered at the time of check out may operate the slingshot while it is in your possession. Renter and additional drivers must be present at the time of the rental with driver’s license for confirmation. The passengers minimum age is 10 and must be able to grasp handholds and firmly plant their feet on the floor with their back fully against the seat backrest.

You must plan ahead for tolls and bring your own EZPASS. Tickets and tolls incurred during your rental will be charged to the credit card used at checkout.

New York State law states that drivers and passengers are required to wear a DOT approved helmet for slingshot rentals. If you choose not to wear one Smooth Slingshot Rentals is not liable for any injury caused to you or any passenger.

Security deposit of $750 for a 2-seater and $1000 for a 4-seater will be held the day of your rental on a credit card which will be refunded 24-48 hours after the return of vehicle and when an inspection is complete.

We are by reservation only: You must complete a reservation online or over the phone in order to secure your rental. Under no circumstances will we cancel another customers reservation in order to accommodate your reservation, regardless of the number of vehicles rented or duration of the rental.

NO burnouts, donuts or off-roading will be tolerated. We take note of the tire thread counts and will bill you for a new tire if there are any signs of such action.
Smooth Slingshot Rentals reserves the right to refuse service to any renter or potential renter at its sole discretion. This right to refuse service applies to all aspects of the rental process, including but not limited to:

Denying rental applications: This may occur if the applicant does not meet the minimum age, driver's license requirements, or any other qualification criteria established by the company.

Cancelling existing reservations: This may be necessary if the renter violates the terms of the rental agreement, exhibits unsafe or reckless behavior, or poses a safety risk to themselves or others.

Refusing service at the time of rental: This may occur if the renter arrives intoxicated, under the influence of drugs, or is otherwise deemed unfit to operate the Slingshot safely.
